It was a wonderful railway when I made the Mexico City to Veracruz trip in 1962. I recognized the bridge shown. When we were there the freights still ran w/ Westinghouse boxcabs which had regen braking feeding back into the catenary IINM.
The tracks were on steel ties (sleepers) marked Krupp though they were being replaced w/ wood. There was a different NdeM route linking the 2 cities which I assume is the survivor.
As to the exhibit, a single pic of the cutesy car would have sufficed.
