Railex at Wallula is switched by Frontier Rail's MP15DC 1299 (xUPY1299 SP2701). They switch as needed, but the Super Fruit has been departing Wednesday afternoon-Thursday morning. The second train for Friday afternoon-Saturday morning might be reinstated by now. SW1000 207 formely at Wallula for work should be back working Frontier's Yakima Central between Toppenish and White Swan.

Anything Watco around Wallula is hit and miss, but their grain shuttle can often be found tied up there or sometimes inbound. The SW1500 that switches Boise Paper is usually visible tied up at the depot or switching (telephoto lens time to keep from trespassing). Boise also has a couple GE 35 tons for the chip dumper - have never seen them from the road. There was a Watco Geep also switching there a while ago.

There seems to be a UP local out of Wallula that has had 2 GP60s, sometimes 3. It will usually make two round trips during the day on the BNSF towards Pasco, often light engine. Sometimes they will make a short trip up the UP line to local customers mid-day.

BNSF usually rolls in from Pasco in the afternoon. After setting out their Boise cars, they will make a trip up the UP with what I assume is the Great Northwest (old Camas Prairie) interchange cars. Stick around long enough you might catch them on their return trip. Power has been a pair of SD60M (sometimes white faces but there is at least one awful pumpkin with white cab numbers), SD40-2 (various paint) or sometimes mixed. They scattered a ton of ties a few weeks ago so a tie gang is in the works.

UP can run anytime and anything. Manifests of any length, grain, potash and coal for Boardman (BNSF power). Lots of CP pool power and a few lease units.

Wallula seems to be feast or famine, but the BNSF and UP locals seem to be consistent at least on weekdays.
