In case you're wondering where Boothwyn is, it's in Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, south of the city in Delaware Country on the former B&O "Royal Blue" Philadelphia-Washington main.
Just up the line in Darby, this same route has a very interesting feature -- A grade crossing that includes an active trolley line. The Main Street crossing in Darby includes the right-of-way for the SEPTA Route 11 trolley between Darby and downtown Philly. It's believed to be the only existing crossing of a streetcar line and a main rail line in the U.S. This is one of SEPTA's former PTC subway-surface routes that goea underground just west of the central business district and parallels the Market-Frankford line as far as City Hall.
