I am 77 years old and when I was at Cal in 1954-58 I had an older sorority sister and a high school friend who were accepted to be Pan Am stews and it was a really big big deal!! Both of these ladies were gorgeous, were about 5'7 and traveled all over the world. But the day they decided to marry, end of career. I thought of that in the last few years as we have flown hither and yon on various airlines and the ladies serving us our "coffee, tea or milk" are women in their mid-forties or older, a far cry from their predecessors of my hey day-------and cheers for them!! YOu don't have to be a bimbo to do your job well!! :-)
