Looks interesting, but if there isn't any other service to the area any more (which seems to be the case, reading between the lines), it's a long way out of the way for most travelers. Still ... interesting. And what are those critters used for the service? Story says "purpose-built" which might be true; guess Canada isn't as strict about passenger equipment on freight lines as FRA?
