...not to mention that what affects a small animal bred specifically for lab testing in a certain way isn't necessarily going to affect humans (or anything else, for that matter) in the same fashion. Just because it works that way in the lab doesn't mean it will out in the real world (if at all). Then again, most politicians, environmentalists, NIMBYs, and other like-minded (or mindless?) individuals don't live in the real world (or at least not in the same one as we do)...
