The line north of Willits will never be rebuilt. Too costly, lack of traffic. Doubtful they would spend the money needed to rebuild north of the last active mill in Capalla to get to Willits.
The Friends of the Eel river (the litigants) are as phoney as a three dollar bill.They would appeal the lawsuit but have probably run out of money. Meantime the pot growers are sucking the springs , creeks and headwaters of the Eel river dry. They are leaving heaps of trash, plastic pipes and poison in the forests but oh lets all worry about a railroad rebuild that will never happen.
