Catching the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay 10 09 14

Howard's great coverage of the SC&MB inspired a friend and I to take a rare railfan day and head to Watsonville. We were lucky enough to catch the SC&MB just as they got the F-units up to temperature and turned on the headlight to head to Pajaro and pick up a single tank car for North Star. Was a great chase.

Heading off the Americold Spur and crossing Ohlone Parkway. The engineer will swap cabs and head south to the UP yard in Pajaro.

A pair of Fs get some asphalt miles heading down Walker Street for the yard.
