Maybe some one can inform me why during the Presidency in 1952 and the retirement as chairman of the Board in 1952 D.J.Russel insisted the SP keep well maintained and ready for snow service with 2 Electric Wide Wing Rotary plows on the Shasta and Portland Divisions and 2 straight wing electrics serviceable at Sparks and 1 straight wing and 4 Wide wing electrics serviceable from Sept through June at The Locomotive facility at Roseville.
There has always seemed to be more rotary experts than there were roatarys.
