The CZ was indeed a train for all people. On one trip in 1961, we had 12 Army Pvts. riding in the head coach. They came as a group from some where in the Mid-West and were being transferred to the Oakland Army Replacement Station for reassignment on the West Coast.

Passengers in those days usually wore nice clothes for their trip. The Army men were in Class A's.
