Nothing in my commentary was meant to address how Norfolk Southern would respond to this situation and I do not have any issue with how NS would prepare for this issue. This is not a Norfolk Southern discussion forum. It's a railfan discussion forum.
As stated before, there are so many topics more worthy of discussing such as Amtrak's added Thanksgiving service, NS taking over a D & H line in the Northeast (mentioned by pdxrailtransit), progress of restoration of Heber Valley #618, lack of progress on UP 4014, investigation of sleep patterns of Metro North Engineers, Florida East Coast's new locomotives, an Amtrak excursion on the former Reading November 8 & 9 or SP'c C-9 locomotives.
