It certainly is outsourcing......and economics. We want to be part of a "world economy" then this is what happens. If its cheaper/easier/fewer regulations/lower taxes to process lumber in another location (country) then that's where the processing goes.....because if they don't a competitor will, then undercut their prices and they'll be out of business completely.
An uncomfortable truth but the only other option is market controls - which sorta starts to sound like Socialism - and apparently most in this country don't want that either. So which is it?
