"Principle Skinner" whoever you are...WAF knows about what he's talking. Simpson bought the Korbel mill and associated timberlands from the Northern Redwood Lumber Company back about 1955ish. In 2006, Simpson spun its timberlands and California mill holdings into the Green Diamond Resource Company noted in the article- both Simpson and Green Diamond, while nominally separate, are owned by the same group of shareholders and function as separate arms of the same organism.

To CPRR, little to nothing remains from the railroad at the mill. The old A&MR shop was torn out decades ago, and the rails up to the mill disappeared with the rest of the A&MR in the spring of 1998.
