SP5103: Love the numbers, I was hoping someone would "do the work". That said, let me provide a few more numbers, perhaps a little more accuracy.

First the steepest part of the grade is actually 3.75%, with much in the area where the video was shot above 3.2%.

Second, I'm told the curves are between 10 and 15 degrees, in the steepest area.

I've also been told that they expected to pull the hill with 3500 tons without doubling it, with one of the P4s in DP mode.

So, if you have time, run the numbers again and see if it makes more since.

I should also add that the 2 SD40's they've been using have had to double the hill with shorter trains and less tonnage.
