So why not just change the type of available commodity to turn a profit. Instead of the more tradional goods, why not attempt to form a coalition with the coyotes? A relatively small cut of the current fee to transport into the U.S. could turn their books from red to black. With the downturn in gravel and coal traffic (due to our current enviro friendly cultural trend), the idle hoppers could be filled and used for transport. An advantage would be that cleaning them after delivery would be a snap. Utilization of this method would also all but rid our border parks and land of an ever growing trash dump. We need to begin to think out of the box.
