I thought perhaps the architectural style was rather spanish something revival- Such as used over a century ago by Los Angeles Pacifc, SPLA&SL and NWP at Petaluma- I've always considered those to be handsome. So I googled it and this came up

Explains more about the developer etc. The old depot is not so spanishsomething that i'd freak out if it was gone, but the 'one of three' renderings that is in the recent article is of an architectural style that is passe', phony, contrived and downright uuuuuugly. Did they do one that is at least tastefully reminiscent/evocative of the depot? Shoot even the chickenfeed mill designers in Moorpark were able to be more sensitive.
