almo, the flatcar bridge you are thinking of is at East Berne siding switch. An old TTX piggyback flat, it has had the 5th wheel mounts flame cut off & railings applied. No need to "hike down" to it, it's easily accessible from Hwy. 2, if you know where to turn off.
