Brick Dust?

Can anyone shed a little light on the AT&SF red color name used on cabooses? I am working on a project where I have an old railroad antenna that has a speck of paint on it. I brought it down to the local hardware store and did a color match by eye and it came up a close match to "Brick Dust Red" or "Crushed Red Pepper". Of course I know the railroad didnt use names like that, I expect it was just something like "fire engine red" or something close.

I am not 100% sure this item is from AT&SF but I am just going by the color of where it may have come from. I am sure there were a lot of railroas that had red paint used around the 50's.

Wish I could get a Pantone number for it.
