The thing I noticed with SFe Mineral Brown -- it seemed to be just Boxcar Red without the gloss added. More of a flat or matte finish. The color also faded fast, especially in the desert areas that Santa Fe traversed.
Perhaps you could check with the Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society at : www.atsfrr.org . Many RR Historical groups have researched their roads' various colors, and they often have color charts printed for modeler reference.
