I wasnt even a twinkle in my parents eye yet... but these "where were you" scenarios always make me think about different time periods and then vs now...

Just think.. BNSF is 18 years old now and we still have Green BN machines , Warbonnets and yellow bonnets (patched) roaming the rails. That would be like seeing a CB&Q, NP an GN unit on the rails in 1988. Those fresh green SP&S ordered GP38s on the promo material are still in that original paint, 45 years old. Would be the same as seeing a SP&S RS3 roaming around on BNSF merger day. We really have some fantastic variety still roaming around.

Those first Heritage I Dash-9s are as old now as the last order of C30-7s were on BNSF merger day. Just fun stuff to think about!
