Washouts--this track was the old San Rafael branch of the NWP, out of service since 1985. It saw some maintenance by the motorcars west group who ran trips to San Rafael in the 2000s!





Signal base from the automatic block signalling base that once existed between Ignacio and San Rafael. Commenters have said this system was in place because of the high traffic levels into the HAmilton Air Force Base while others have said it was part of the steam helper district between Ignacio and San Rafael which required a trip up to Puerto Suello 72 feet above Civic Center Drive, covered in about two miles.
