I doubt there would be any commuter/IC service beyond downtown Santa Cruz, so museum operations on the branch and out to Davenport makes sense, and both services would be a great tourist draw.
Commuter rail service to Perris will finally begin next year, making Orange Empire accessible to LA by passenger train. And, my "pipe dream" is having the Orange Empire install the turntable, and be able to operate 3751 to Perris, and back.
