The trucks have received a common revision that many railroads did--reducing the number of brake shoes to one per wheel as opposed to the as built two shoes per wheel, they also likely converted to composition shoes in the process. I remember reading somewhere that MRL updated the electrical systems on all the SD-35's it has kept. (otherwise the shops would be going crazy keeping all the relays they were built with going.)
