I've never owned a car, but I own a home. My property taxes pay for the city streets, not gas taxes. I don't mind. But even though I don't bike, I do think it is funny (both odd and haha) how drivers can begrudge the small amount spent for bike and pedestrian uses.

Congress still hasn't figured out how to fudge the Highway Trust Fund without raising the federal gas tax. And these are the people who think that Amtrak gets an "outrageous" subsidy. Sigh...
