A friend of mine did much of the design and supervised the building of the San Pedro Trolleys. The replica cars had new carbodys and frames built by the same company that had been doing the new White Pass passenger cars. If I recall, one car is an original PE body that had been running around on a truck frame for years. The trucks and traction motors were salvaged spares from someone back east. All the switchgear came from a mining supply company, but I don't know about the controllers. The brakes are a standard 26-B type (similar to a common 26-C but without an independent) with a 26-C control valve that was modified by Wabco to have a very quick recharge. I believe all of them have multiple unit controls, but don't think it is used much. The original intention was to eventually expand the system and build more replica cars, but the last I heard it may actually be shutting down.
