This slide sold on eBay a few days ago for a whopping $252.49. Why? Being involved with the Niles Depot historical group and the model railroads there, I know well that there is nothing significant about the date or anything in the image. In fact, it is a view of the depot in the decades close to its closure by the railroad in which it had developed into a dilapidated affair.
What's more, the slide is a DUPLICATE, as described in the details, and it is taken at a bad sun angle with the bay window and platform barely visible in the shadows.
