Might be trade-based money laundering like you described. Trade-based money laundering is an alternative remittance system that allows illegal organizations the opportunity to earn, move and store proceeds disguised as legitimate trade. Value can be moved through this process by false-invoicing, over-invoicing (like this slide) and under-invoicing commodities that are imported or exported around the world.There was some "cheese" guy who spent over $100k buying slides on eBay in the mid-00's and he is still on eBay.... Still, it would take a lot of $252 dollar slide purchases to launder a few hundred thousand dollars.....
