This article and the Gallup study purport to show that only 10% of managers are actually suited for the job (and no, I don't mean Armani). Maybe a few more can do the job. But most just stink at it. So the pointy-haired boss is real, and the Peter Principle works. If it's that bad in Real World business, can it be much better in a museum or other similar "volunteer" organization?
