Railfanning Tehachapi during the time Anschutz owned both the Espee and the Rio Grande was cool, as I would sometimes see the figure - eight pattern of a Rio Grande Mars light-equipped engine on the point of a train. Quite a difference from the Espee Gyralites.
Mars also made oscillating emergency lights for fire apparatus and ambulances.
