Hospitals also like the term. Kaiser bought the old French Hospital in San Francisco many years ago shut down the ER and turned the patient rooms into Dr's offices and exam rooms and now refers to it as the French campus.
I think they call some facilities a campus because they have several buildings and a courtyard or other open space
