EWG has been receiving asphalt cars for storage of late. Also, forest service and some logging operations get tank cars of material to put down on logging roads for dust control.
When the WI&M was in service the dust control stuff came from the BN and interchanged at
Bovill. They'd get 10 or 15 cars a summer, maybe they will need more this summer since it is so dry.
