On two separate visits over the last 5 years, Railtown 1897 staff in Jamestown have told me that Mr. Kepner still owns #34. They have also said that they would like to acquire the locomotive from him. This is a mere retelling of what I was told - I did not verify the accuracy of those statements.

#34 appears to be complete and intact. Though dusty, it looks good. I noted though, that compared to other steam locomotives I have seen, the driver tires are very worn. Other than that, I have no idea of the condition.

Who of us would not like to see #34 run again? Who knows if it will? At least it is under cover in it's original home roundhouse.
