Back in January the track foreman for the SMART project came down to lay the rail on the new La Selva Bridge. I asked him if I could provide a gold painted spike for the final spike to be driven. He thought it was a great idea and I photographed the event. I wonder if he suggested doing this for the completion of the SMART rail laying.
