Ok Folks, This is really what the CTC did at their meeting in Sacramento on Wed and Thurs. They approved a list of projects for the Prop 1B Trade Corridors Improvement Fund bond program. ALL of the project have to meet deadlines (for example) agreements with the railroad(where needed), environmental documents, etc before they will get any $$. There are 79 projects on the list. SOME of these are;
7th St grade separation in Oakland;
I-580 eastbound truck climbing lane over the Altamont Pass;
Double tracking and daylighting a couple of tunnels south/east of Caliente;
Double tracking and raising tunnel ceilings over Donner;
Crows Landing truck to rail facility;
Deepening ship channels to Stockton and Sacramento;
Many grade separations over UP and BNSF lines in San Diego, LA, Riverside and San Berdo Counties;
Converting to freeway route 905 in San Diego County between I-805 and bordor crossing;
Brawley Bypass on SR-78/111;
UP flyover BNSF at Colton.
These are just some of the 79 projects, if you want to see a complete list of projects, go to
catc@dot.ca.gov. This is the CTC web site.
I hope this clears this up for now.
