Odd Duck - If you search the NWPRR.net site with the term Haystack, you'll find some recent photos by member NipponSharyoFan of the new Haystack bridge construction. [nwprr.net]
On Friday last week, I observed the segmental girders, treads and bridge tracks had been assembled onto the movable pier, with portions of the deck trusses being bolted up. Many other pieces and parts had been delivered to the site, being shuttled by trucks to an erection crane. It's coming together.
I lacked a camera to snap a photo or two of this work in progress.
