Empire Builder switching in Spokane

I am just curious if anyone in the Inland Empire can answer this. I've looked at satellite maps of the Spokane Amtrak station and it appears there are only 2 tracks. Given that the east and west bound Builders are scheduled pretty close to each other in the wee hours of the morning what happens as far as switching in and out the Seattle and Portland sections when both are in the station at the same time? Or does Amtrak hold one of the trains outside the station until the other departs?
