Wasbo and Rusticmike both offer sane and intelligent remarks and or solutions. The guy with the original post that has upset all of you other folks has offered up a fair question although not well thought out. I am a cyclist and have done the 84 route on the bike. I don't like cars and wish it was safer. Having said that, As long time PLA member, I am of course a rail advocate and such a thing as proposed would never happen. Where the ROW permits, bikes and trains can co-exist, however, the highway and the railroad ROW are insufficient to accommodate one another. One of the things that bothers me about some of those who post on this forum,is that some folks are unable to have a meaningful discussion about some topics with flaming the original postee.
