The corridor is 75 to 250 feet wide, the selfishness of a few to propose depriving the 99% of total community and tourists use of existing rail assets smacks of being YES an elitist group! You discount or don't respect the large families , the seniors, the kids, the physically limited who cannot or cannot afford to buy into your trail based personal venue.The area in question is removed from city streets, it's rugged. and there are no support services. We have rescued several who attempted to go between towns in the summer,and fell to heat and distance. Thanks for speaking down on all the people who benefit from a public service rail based excursion, you just made the point about elitist attitude! Evidence, we count our passengers, and we count trail users each day in this area when were out there working and operating.Our ridership is in the thousands, daily trail use including the horses themselves,usually less than 5! There is a big difference between serving the public as a whole versus serving yourself at the public'expense.
