From a site 2014:

Palmdale Cutoff Freights

This is a list of freight trains that run on the old SP Palmdale Cutoff Line between West Colton, CA and Palmdale, CA. This line is now part of the Union Pacific Mojave Subdivision. This list is by no means perfect, and other trains not listed may also run over this line. As of the date of this writing the info listed should be accurate.

This list was last updated on: 2014-12-09

Southbound loaded and empty autos trains from Oakland (OA), Benicia (BE), and Milpitas (MP) (used to be MI) can run over the Palmdale Cutoff. As of the spring of 2014 a lot of the trains from Milpitas at least have moved over to running south over the Coast Line, and hence are not using the Palmdale Cutoff.
