I hold tickets for a trip to Seattle leaving Los Angeles on May 9. I just spoke to Amtrak who claimed the first through trains are scheduled for May 7. Of course this is dependent on Union Pacific. My basic question is: Should I trust the information I received from Amtrak about all train travel from Klamath Falls to Eugene? I do not want to be on a bus. Who would? I am at the point that I need to make hotel reservations for this trip or else cancel the trip. Does anyone have better/more up to date info than Amtrak? The Amtrak web site does not even state a date of complete though train service. Comments please.
