Dyer - Firestone Park SP branch

I'm not real familiar with the SP branches in the Los Angeles Basin. In regards to the SP branch between Dyer and Firestone Park - was this a former PE line? Wasn't Dyer near Santa Ana were the former SP SW-1 worked the Holly Sugar plant until it closed? What jobs worked this line in the late 1950s after dieselization, from what yard did the job work out of and was it nights only?

I have a 1957 Special Instructions which shows it up to 30 mph and a 210,000 pound limit, but tonnage ratings for only two classes of engines. Unless a tonnage rating is given, the Superintendent would have to authorize any other class of engine to be used. Oddly other branches in the same region with the same weight limit do not have the same engine restrictions.

Thanks
