August 27, 2015: Golden Bolt At San Rafael

The gap at the civic center is now closed and downtown San Rafael now is connected by rail to Santa Rosa and the SMART main is one. The SW/H crew cut the rails and bolted them together today. Awaiting welding...the golden weld. The main on either side of Haystack bridge needs to be replaced but this site in San Rafael closes the last gap in the current line. Doesn't sound like there's going to be any ceremony of any kind.
