Judy Arnold is infamous for her stance, along with her train hating pal at the Pacific Legal Foundation. That explains a lot. Like why you still won't be able to get to the "City" via the ferry's at Larkspur. Marin's stupidity and short sighted Nimby nonsense on the train and the 101 improvements is a local joke in Sonoma, from what I heard from folks up there.

When I was up there last month, folks in Santa Rosa couldn't wait (as the 101 sucks all day), and there's about $300 million in new housing and retail they are starting on around the SMART platform, and the "two" historic downtown depots. We spoke with a real estate agent who couldn't wait, and mentioned it to us, in pointing out several nearby "historic" districts, with many of the house undergoing restoration in anticipation of the "evil" trains, that we should look at.
