SP 2479 project question

It has been awhile since I have heard any updates on the SP 2479 restoration in San Jose. Is this restoration to operation still going on with this group? I looked at their website and Facebook page and cannot find any updated info other than they hope to run it with the 2472 and 2467 all over California. That doesn't seem likely since the 2467 is a display piece in Sacramento and Union Pacific owns most of the mainline tracks in California and is not open to non UP steam on their system. Thanks for any info.
