Carol.
You have me confused.
("This Kaiser loco was moved to the History San Jose museum on Phelan and Senter Roads". The loco at the fairgrounds is under slow progress. Its complicated but not the same groups involved.)
The Kaiser 65 Ton GE diesel was moved to the fair grounds where the SP Pacific 4-6-2 #2479 restoration project is on going and is with the same group. I witnessed the unloading of the diesel there two weeks ago this coming Wednesday. To my knowledge the 65 tonner has not moved from the fair grounds to Phelan Ave.
What is located at HSJ on Phelan, is the cosmetically restored SP steam switch locomotive #1215 and tender, a MOPAC Caboose and the Orchard Supply Boxcar (currently under restoration) plus the ATSF "Little Buttercup" located inside the Trolley Barn.
The delivery of the 65 tonner was pictorially documented on the 2479 facebook page. Bending that lowboy trailer around a 90 degree turn from narrow Healy Ave. through the gate into the fair grounds was an example of semi-tractor operating artistry by Reccardo from Taylor Hauling. Watching him back that entire rig 90 degrees right, off the property onto Healy Ave. was unblievable.
If what I have related is in error or I've somehow missinterpreted your post, please correct me.
