Yes, San Francisco does just fine. This sounds like Seattle's experience, a nice ride that really doesn't go anywhere, then gets in the way of development. What's really disgusting is "the trolley" replacing it......that rubber tired bus made to look like a caricature from a Disney cartoon. Every city has one. And the rationale to use them is the same one that eliminated the streetcars in the first place. I hope the 1058 finds a covered home at Orange Empire or some other museum and the two replicas don't become a forgotten outdoor display. San Pedro lost my visit.
