The opening grand ceremony is tentatively scheduled for Monday, November 2 at Porter's Restaurant in downtown Medford, OR.

Whether or not that means regular freight trains will be rolling later that day or not remains to be seen. It sounds like the initial freight runs shouldn't be to much further behind the November 2 ceremony, although there will continue to be ongoing work on the line through the end of the year.
