Weather Service ( [
www.weather.gov] ) has flash flood watches up for this afternoon and evening in most of the inland mountains and deserts of Southern Calif. including inland SLO and most of Kern Counties. Expected to disrupt cleanup and repair efforts in some areas.
Then, next week, Santa Anas ... yes, there's a special weather statement out mentioning that. It's that time of year when anything can happen, and El Nino is apparently tickling the area already.
Per Caltrans listings this morning ( [
www.dot.ca.gov] ), 5 and 58 are both still closed for mudslides. 33 near Ojai is also closed for flooding, but that isn't affecting 101 so the Coast line should be OK.
