When working flangers the conductor is taking track warrants, raising and lowering the blade and helps to clean switches. Brakeman works the box unlocking the blade to be used when throwing snow right or left as well as line switches and shovel snow. When working spreaders duties are the same except mow crews operate the blades. On the old rotaries same duty in regards to paper work etc round house personnel fire the boilers. Engine men run the locomotives and are responsible for cleaning the snow off of the power. Were still waiting for the chance to work the new rotary.
