Since the SP&S 700 is NOT a UP locomotive don't look to UP to do anything but allow it to operate over the UP except from point A (OPR East Portland Yard) to point B. Due to the extreme (17 degree...or whatever the "experts" say it is) curviture at "Stringline Junction" I doubt that UP would take the chance of a derailment at this location...although stranger things have happened!
